(Sister Ellsworth)
Dear family and friends,
Dear family and friends,
Y'all are cool. I love you!
So, um, General Conference happened. I think it was probably
the best weekend ever. I loved Elder David A. Bednar's talk on striving to know
the Savior. It reminded me of a question one of our Elders had asked me when I
was a little frustrated. He asked me, "Do you believe in Christ?"
Well duh, I do. I responded that I wouldn't be here if I didn't know that
Christ is our Savior, the Redeemer of the World, born of the virgin Mary who
have his life so that each of us could be brought back to the presence of our
loving Heavenly Father. Yeah I believe in Him.
Then this old Elder, about to go home, asked me in all the
wisdom of pure service for two years, "Do you believe Christ?" I
remember that I knew a lot about who Christ is, why He chose to die, and why we
need Him, but did I believe him? Did I believe that His Atonement would work in
my life too? I believe yes. I've felt it... I would not be able to do this work
without the strengthening power of Jesus Christ at my every step, every breath,
and every word. We come to know of the Savior as we follow Him, serve Him, and
teach of Him.
Do you believe Christ? Do you believe that He can help YOU?
You, as an individual son or daughter of the Almighty God, can have help. You
just have to accept it or even just acknowledge it!
I love you guys so much,
Sister Ellsworth
