(Elder Cummings)
What is up yall!
This week has been a real good one. Like always.
One day we had 7 lessons set up and every. Single. One. Fell
through. It was so frustrating but we did our best to roll with the punches and
keep going. Then the next day all of our lessons happened and they were all
sooooo good. It was just a great reminder that this is the Lord's work. It
struck me this week that the Lord doesn't NEED me to be a missionary. His work
and His glory will go on with or without me. People will learn the gospel,
hearts will be touched, and lives changed whether I'm there or not. The
question is will I choose to be a part of it.
So in the end, being a missionary and a disciple of Jesus
Christ is what I, myself, need. I have learned the gospel, my heart has been
touched, and my life has been changed by my service as a full time missionary
for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am just humbled to have
this understanding that He is in control and have this opportunity to be doing
His work with Him.
Alma 29:9
"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I
glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath
commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in
the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy"
God bless 🙏
